Harry Robinson - HIDC Chairman

Lifetime resident of Hitchcock and one of the three founding members that sought state approval for the Hitchcock Industrial Development Corporation in 1976.

Has served a total of seven years as a City Commissioner and more than 9 years as Mayor.

Mr. Robinson was employed by Monsanto/Sterling Chemical in Texas City for 35 years; retiring as Administrative Services Supervisor in 1993.

Mayor Matranga - HIDC Board Member/Hitchcock Mayor

Anthony Matranga – Mayor City of Hitchcock Anthony has served as Mayor of Hitchcock for the past 7 years. Previously he served as City Commissioner since 1996.

Mr. Matranga is a lifelong resident of Hitchcock. Born and raised by parents, Lillian and Anthony Matranga. Who themselves were among the first settlers in the small farming town of Hitchcock, Texas.

1941 Born in New York, grew up in New Jersey

1956 Moved to Galveston, Texas

1959 Graduated from Ball High School, Galveston

1960-1964 United States Air Force (Honorably Discharged in Germany)

1964-current Married (2 children, bon in 1967 and 1972 )

1965 Moved back to the United States from Germany

Ricky Clifton - General Manager of GCA

Ricky Clifton, General Manager of Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority (GCA), began his tenure with GCA in 1974 at the Bayport Facility as Operations Supervisor. Working fulltime, he attended college earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science in 1980 from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
